MATRIX MS-1 Pre

The MS-1 Pre features an integrated preamplifier with resistor array volume control. This preamplifier is itself the result of the sum of numerous audiophile components, such as multi-stage operational amplifiers offering +10dB gain and enabling the MS-1 Pre to output a signal of up to 16Vrms. This makes it possible to connect the MS-1 Pre directly to a power amplifier or active speakers. In terms of technical performance, the MS-1 Pre's integrated preamplifier matches the performance of the network player. In fact, it offers a very low level of distortion with excellent channel coherence, even at low volume levels. In addition to preamplified RCA and XLR outputs, the MS-1 PRE also features a fixed XLR output (5Vrms).

The Matrix MS-1 Pre audio network player is an extremely complete streamer that forms part of the brand's M series along with the MP-1 preamplifier and MA-1 power amplifier. This new series features a new design, both in terms of appearance and internal structure. Indeed, the MS-1 Pre network player features a balanced structure with a combo of AKM AK4499EX + AK4191 chips per channel, enabling it to support high-resolution PCM up to 24bit 768kHz, native DSD up to DSD512 and MQA streams. This version of the streamer also features preamplified outputs with volume control.
